These mobile labs look to prod, engage and transact with student’s core concepts of science through schools visits once a month. Each van is equipped with application, models, equipment, charts and books etc. to address the curricular needs of the upper primary and secondary school science curriculum.

While Tata Trusts will be supporting the programme by bringing in sector expertise through relevant human resources after having worked in this field extensively, the logistical support is being provided by TCS.

Ms. Priya Siqueira Mahapatra, General Manager, CSR, Tata Consultancy Services, said, “As a part of our CSR focus on education of the marginalized sections, TCS is happy to support the Government of Odisha in providing children in remote tribal areas of the state the opportunity of quality science and math education and a stimulating learning environment. We hope that this would encourage more students living in remote parts of the country to develop a scientific temperament and contribute to the progress of the nation”
