Individual Grants case studies

Following are case studies of some of the people who have received grants under the Trusts' Individual Grants Programme:

An invitation from the European Association for Population Studies provided Sudeshna with the perfect opportunity to present her paper. She requested for a travel grant, and looking at the relevance of Sudeshna's research to its grant making efforts, the Trusts sanctioned an amount towards her international airfare

The Trusts provide monetary assistance provided to individuals suffering from any life threatening / debilitating disease and requiring hospitalisation / treatment over long duration and/or incurring heavy expenditure towards the same. Find out how Vipul's family owe the gurgling and pranks of the child to the Trusts

Presently, Jane is still in hospital with a rare type of blood cancer, her treatment continues….the Trusts can only pray that providence is kind, having already done all they could - sanctioning the maximum amount sanctionable under the Individual Grants Programme

Whilst not in a position to save Sita's life, the Trusts attempted to assuage the financial burden on the bereaved family by releasing the sanctioned amount

The Trusts sanctioned an amount towards the treatment costs. Despite intensive treatment over a period of one year, the doctors were unable to completely excise Shiva's tumor. However, TMH discounted the tumour as not being life threatening

Dr Veena Goel's request for a travel grant provided another opportunity to the Trusts to support a deserving academic scholar and consequently, an amount was sanctioned towards her international return airfare, registration and visa fees.
