This sub-initiative aims to fund projects
dedicated to the fields of design, architecture
and urban studies.
Advanced Learning in
the Arts (New Design Pedagogy)
Under the Advanced learning in the Arts, the
programme focuses on India’s arts and
humanities departments in its universities,
and on several famous disciplines that are
on the verge of transforming the very paradigm
of higher education in the arts in India.
A special focus is laid on architecture/design,
recognising the unique role of these two
fields in the humanities. It seeks to partner
key departments in Indian universities,
and support in devising new research locations
for mainstreaming innovative research into
new curricula.
