Based on one of the key recommendations
of the
Strategic Review of Education (2005),
the Trusts support knowledge building in
the field of education as part of the sub-theme
“Nurturing Education as a Discipline”.
As stressed in the strategic report, while
it is important to support field projects
improving quality and access of elementary
education, informed understanding about
educational processes is a critical gap.
Elementary education is an underdeveloped
discipline and hence, support for education
research, documentation, and dissemination
is important.
