Activities within the grant:
The present grant continues the Trusts’
earlier support to Ashadeep in rescuing
homeless women with mental illness from
the streets of Guwahati and nearby areas
and rehabilitate them to safe environments,
majority back with their families. Ashadeep
will continue to provide psychiatric and
related mental health services to people
in nearby districts through its outreach
camps with partner organisations, in such
places where mental health services are
unavailable.
Ashadeep will work with the state government
and other stakeholders to increase availability
of mental health services in the state.
