Drought Proofing in Rajasthan

Over the years, the state of Rajasthan has suffered due to the vagaries of nature. The variable character of rainfall in semi-arid west Rajasthan has often caused drought, resulting in crop failure, unreplenished ground and surface water resources, and deprivation of fodder for cattle. This adversely affects the livelihoods of the people and leads to migration.

Geographical spread of projects

The Trust has concentrated its efforts on initiatives that promise to bring relief to the affected populace. Realising that certain preventive measures can mitigate the after shocks of a poor monsoon, the Trust has pro-actively supported preventive drought proofing efforts in west Rajasthan.
