Activities within the grant and expected impact:
The current phase of support focuses on:

Graduation of the existing 48 locations into self-managed institutions, taking the total number of registered federations to 63
Expansion through organic growth in the areas of presence and promotion of 32 new locations, taking the total number of locations in which the programme operates to 10 states
Promoting business development across 12 key sectors in 15 federations to bring about income increases among members, and enabling access to formal markets
Strengthening policy interface to build a more positive climate towards community based microfinance. The impact during the phase of support would be on similar lines for the 32 new locations

The impact of deepening efforts through civic initiatives and support for graduation of locations would be seen in terms of:
Increase in household savings in Trusts-supported new and existing locations by Rs260 million
Emergence of 43 local community-based institutions, which fully cover their operational costs
100 per cent households covered under social security schemes
Electrification of households of 10,000 members
Toilet construction by 25 per cent member households of 20 federations
Generation of additional income of Rs3,000 to Rs5,000 per acre per year for 3,000 households engaged in rain-fed farming
Improvement in the overall quality of life of 25,000 members across 50 federations, through sanitation programme, safe drinking water products, etc.
Grooming of around 24,400 leaders at SHG level, 2,900 at cluster level and 500 leaders at federation level. At the policy level, large-scale demonstration of community-based approach by banks and government would be ensured.
