Environmental impact: |
 |
While
open grazing has the negative impact
of environmental degradation, the proposed
project seeks to bring a gradual shift
from existing open grazing to stall-fed
grazing practices. Promotion of legume
fodder is one of the key strategies
envisaged for achieving this, along
with capacity building on balanced feed.
Stall-fed grazing is also important
from the point of view of increasing
value realized from market, wherein
weight is the deciding criteria. |
